ITA: Italian Language
ITA 1120. ELEMENTARY ITALIAN I.
For students without two years of recent high school Italian completed within the last three years or department approval. Emphasis on everyday use of the language, integrating basic grammar, vocabulary, composition and culture through a conversational approach to Italian. Not open to native speakers. A minimum grade of C is required to pass this course if being used to satisfy the General Education Foreign Language requirement.
ITA 1121. ELEMENTARY ITALIAN II.
Prerequisite: ITA 1120
Elementary Italian II is for students with a C or better in ITA 1120 and is a continuation of fundamental skills in Italian comprehension, expression, and structure. In addition, there will be an emphasis on increasing awareness and understanding of the culture. A minimum grade of C is required to pass this course if being used to satisfy the General Education Foreign Language requirement.
