BUSINESS MATHEMATICS Practical application of mathematics to computational problems of business and consumerism. Business applications include decimals, fractions, percentages, interest rates, bank records, payroll and merchandising.

MATHEMATICS FOR ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY Prerequisite or Corequisite: EET 1214C An introductory and essentials course of mathematical concepts and techniques applied to circuit analysis. Topics include basic arithmetic operations, number notation and operation, engineering quantities and units of measurements, algebra fundamentals, and solving equations. Emphasizes mathematical techniques used in DC/AC circuit analysis, circuit simplifications and solution techniques for more complex configurations. Trigonometry and Phasors and their application in AC circuits will also be covered. No prior electronics background is required.

TECHNICAL MATH Fundamental arithmetic, geometry, and algebra operations including algebraic expressions, exponents, factoring and linear and curvilinear equations, graphs of functions and equations, various coordinate systems, solution of right triangles and oblique triangles by means of trigonometric functions; word problems and engineering/surveying/construction applications. Use of scientific calculator.
