APPLIED MUSIC COMPOSITION Pre-requisite: Audition by music faculty. Co-requisites: Music theory, appropriate ensemble, performance seminar, and keyboard class (excluding piano majors). Private applied lessons for music majors in music composition. Concurrent enrollment is required in music theory, appropriate ensemble, performance seminar, and keyboard class (excluding piano majors). Multiple credit course. May be repeated for credit up to a maximum of four credits, but grade forgiveness cannot be applied. (Special Fee: $148.00).

COMPOSITION AND SONGWRITING I AND II Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in MUT 1011 or MUT 1111 A study of the basic elements of music composition through analysis, student projects, and listening assignments. Composition and Songwriting II is a continuation of the study of these elements. This course may be repeated for a maximum of 4 credit hours, but grade forgiveness cannot be applied. (Special Fee: $130).
