INTRODUCTION TO PEACE STUDIES This elective course is a study of peace in its philosophical, religious, literary, historical and other cultural contexts. Investigation into the causes of violence on the global and personal levels. Emphasis on the interdisciplinary study of peace and the peace movement in historical and contemporary views. Application of conflict resolution, non-violence, and other practices necessary to become more powerful and peaceful members of our world.

INTRODUCTION TO CONFLICT MANAGEMENT This course introduces positive conflict management processes and skills critical for leadership and human flourishing. Students will learn to self-regulate, listen actively, mediate, negotiate, communicate effectively, and identify resources to support effective conflict resolution in a personal, organization, or societal context.
