STA 2023. STATISTICAL METHODS.

STATISTICAL METHODS Prerequisite: MAT 0022C or higher, appropriate score on approved assessment, or per state mandate. In this course, students will utilize descriptive and inferential statistical methods in contextual situations, using technology as appropriate. The course is designed to increase problem-solving abilities and data interpretation through practical applications of statistical concepts. This course is appropriate for students in a wide range of disciplines and programs. Minimum grade of C required if STA 2023 is used to satisfy Gordon Rule and general education requirements.

STA 2023H. STATISTICAL METHODS - HONORS.

STATISTICAL METHODS - HONORS Prerequisite: MAT 0022C or higher, appropriate score on approved assessment, or per state mandate. An introductory statistics course covering collection, description and interpretation of data. Topics include graphical and numerical summaries of data, statistical design, probability and random variables, confidence interval estimation, hypothesis testing, correlation and simple linear regression. Minimum grade of C required if STA 2023 is used to satisfy Gordon Rule and general education requirements. Honors program permission required.
