Entry Testing for Criminal Justice Institute Students

A State of Florida-approved Basic Abilities Test is required by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for all applicants to the Criminal Justice Institute for both Law Enforcement and Corrections. There is no exemption from the test, you must have a Valencia application on file and you must achieve a minimum score on the test. The Criminal Justice Basic Abilities Test (CJBAT) is offered at select Assessment Offices and includes an examination fee.  (See Estimated Expenses.)
