Students are responsible for ensuring that all information contained in their Valencia College student record is accurate and current. This includes maintaining a valid mailing address, which must be updated through MyVC. Certain record updates, such as legal name changes, may require supporting documentation.
If mail sent to the address on file is returned to the College, a hold may be placed on the student record until the address is updated. This hold may restrict access to registration and student records.
All documents submitted to Valencia College become the property of the College and will not be returned.
Student Record Requests and Forms
Valencia College provides a variety of student record request forms through MyVC to allow students to update information, request official documents, and manage enrollment-related actions. Common requests include, but are not limited to:
- Change of Personal Information
- Change of Program (Major)
- Duplicate Diploma or Certificate Request
- Enrollment Verification
- Florida Residency Request
- Official Valencia College Transcript Request
- Student Consent to Release or Withhold Education Records
- Update Primary Campus Assignment
Students should submit requests using the appropriate form in MyVC. Processing timelines and documentation requirements vary by request type.
Campus of Record
Students may enroll in courses offered at any Valencia College campus or online. Each student must designate a Campus of Record, also referred to as a home campus. The Campus of Record is generally the campus where the student completes the majority of coursework and where their primary assigned Student Success Coach may be located.
Change of Program (Major) Deadline
Change of program/major requests submitted after the Change of Program (Major) Deadline listed in the Academic Calendar will be processed for the next term.
Release of Education Records
Students may control the release or withholding of their education records by submitting the appropriate consent or restriction request through MyVC, in accordance with applicable privacy laws and College policy.
