Valencia College partners with the University of Central Florida (UCF) through DirectConnect® to UCF, a program that provides students with a clear, supported path to a UCF bachelor's degree. Students who earn an Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree or an articulated Associate in Science (A.S.) degree from Valencia College receive:
- Guaranteed admission to UCF*
- Expanded opportunities to complete a UCF bachelor's degree on Valencia campuses
- Consideration for limited‑access programs alongside native UCF applicants
UCF also provides advising, admissions, financial aid, and academic support services on Valencia's East, Osceola, and West campuses.
*Admission to a student's preferred major or limited-access program is not guaranteed.
Participate in DirectConnect® to UCF
Follow the steps below to participate in the DirectConnect® to UCF program. Students may also speak with their Valencia Student Success Coach or a UCF Success Coach for help signing up.
- Indicate your goal of earning a UCF bachelor's degree on your Valencia application, or submit a Student Record Information Form at any campus First Stop Center before completing 30 credit hours.
- Pursue an A.A. or articulated A.S. degree as a degree-seeking student at Valencia College.
- Sign up for DirectConnect® to UCF online.
- Discuss your degree plans with your Valencia Student Success Coach and a UCF Success Coach to stay on track for both degrees.
- Submit your UCF application once you have earned 45 college credits toward your Valencia degree.
- Graduate with your A.A. or articulated A.S. degree.
