FILM PRODUCTION II Prerequisites: FIL 2421C, FIL 2450C, FIL 2505C, FIL 2580C Corequisites: FIL 2537C, FIL 2552C, FIL 2461 Through a series of lectures and demonstrations by the instructor and working professionals in the film and television industry, and production-related projects, students are introduced to the competencies related to production. Those competencies include creative and technical script analysis, directing the narrative (visual and working with actors), budgeting and understanding the collaboration between key creative and technical crew members. Students will develop and produce their own short films. Students will participate as technicians in College-sponsored film productions. (Special Lab Fee: $260.00).

FILM PRODUCTION III CAPSTONE Prerequisites: FIL 2432C, FIL 2537C, FIL 2552C, FIL 2461 Through a series of lectures and demonstrations by the instructor, lectures and demonstrations by working professional film personnel, and post-production project sessions, the students will be introduced to the competencies relating to post-production. Student will participate as a technician in College-sponsored film productions and learn all the elements involved with post-production on a film. (Special Lab Fee: $260.00).

FIL 2942. INTERNSHIP IN FILM TECHNOLOGY.

INTERNSHIP IN FILM TECHNOLOGY Prerequisites: Satisfactory completion of all mandated courses in Reading, Mathematics, English and English for Academic Purposes; a minimum 2.0 institutional or overall GPA; completion of the limited access portion of the Valencia Film Production Technology Program; and Program Director's approval. The Program Director/Program Chair/Program Coordinator or Internship Placement Office has the discretion to provide override approval as it relates to the waiver of required program/discipline-related courses. This course is a planned work-based experience that provides students with supervised career exploration activities and/ or practical experiences. Each earned credit of internship requires a minimum of 80 clock hours of work. Multiple credit course. May be repeated for credit, but grade forgiveness cannot be applied. (Internship Fee: $10.00).
