ART APPRECIATION In this course, students will develop an appreciation of and the ability to think critically about culture and be provided with the tools to understand, analyze, and discuss works of visual art and material culture.

INTRODUCTION TO ART HISTORY I Survey of development of visual art forms from prehistory through Middle Ages. This course includes selections from the Western cannon.

INTRODUCTION TO ART HISTORY II Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in ENC1101 or ENC 1101H or IDH 1110. Survey of development of visual arts from Renaissance to present. Gordon Rule course in which the student is required to demonstrate college-level writing skills through multiple assignments. Affords students the ability to think critically through the mastering of subjects concerned with human culture, especially art, and will include selections from the Western canon. Minimum grade of C required if used to satisfy Gordon Rule requirement.

ARH 2930. SELECTED TOPICS IN ART.

SELECTED TOPICS IN ART Selected topics in art based on the needs and areas of interest of the class and professor. May include laboratory and/or field work as part of the class. Multiple credit course. May be repeated for credit for a maximum of 3 credits, but grade forgiveness cannot be applied.
