Important Notes
- Earning More Than One Degree: Students may earn more than one degree at Valencia College by completing degrees sequentially. A student must complete and be awarded the first degree before pursuing an additional degree. When applicable, coursework completed for the first degree may be applied toward requirements of the subsequent degree, subject to program and institutional policies.
- Associate in Arts (A.A.) Degree Eligibility: Students may earn one Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree from Valencia College. Students who have previously earned an A.A. or a bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education are not eligible to receive an A.A. degree from Valencia. Students who hold an A.A. or bachelor's degree from a foreign institution remain eligible to earn an A.A. degree at Valencia College.
- Associate in Science (A.S.) Degrees: Students may earn multiple Associate in Science (A.S.) degrees. Each A.S. degree allows only one specialization to be awarded, regardless of the number of available specialization options. Students are encouraged to meet with a Student Success Coach to select a specialization aligned with their intended career goals.
- Bachelor’s Degrees: Students may earn multiple bachelor's degrees from Valencia College. Some bachelor's degree programs offer areas of concentration; however, only one concentration may be awarded per degree. Students are encouraged to work with a Student Success Coach when selecting a concentration.
- Limited Access Programs: Some programs are designated as limited access due to capacity constraints such as faculty, facilities, equipment, or clinical placements. Admission to Valencia College does not guarantee admission to limited-access programs. These programs have specific admission requirements, which are noted in the program information section of this catalog.
